MAZIKEEN WATERCOLOR

I drew this and Jeanne watercolored it for me 2 years ago for San Diego Comic-con. I was hoping to sell it at the show but who should come along except Mike Carey and instantly fall for it. I had to confess, I sort of figured that Mike would love it. It’s hanging in his house now.

That was also the SDCC where Mike and I told Karen Berger that we had a Preacher quality series in us. She agreed (hopefully, I’m sure) and that led to us developing The Unwritten for Vertigo.
